The Best Bars to Watch Sports in Santo Domingo
· Equipo QueHacerRD
Licey versus Escogido, the NBA playoffs or the Champions League final: five Santo Domingo spots with screens, cold beer and a ballpark atmosphere.

The capital has two baseball teams that share one stadium, the Quisqueya Juan Marichal, and a rivalry that splits the city into blue and red every winter: Tigres del Licey against Leones del Escogido. From October to January nobody talks about anything else. And when winter ball ends, MLB, the NBA and European soccer take over, so there is never a shortage of reasons to gather in front of a screen.
These five places are listed on Google as good for watching sports and are among the most reviewed of their kind. There are two types: the big American restaurants of the central district, comfortable and with broad menus, and the neighborhood sports bars, where the game is lived a little louder. For a classic or a final, get there early.
Hard Rock Cafe Santo Domingo

At Blue Mall, on Avenida Winston Churchill. Screens, live music, a terrace and the burgers and ribs you already know, surrounded by rock memorabilia. It is the comfortable choice when the group is large and mixed: mall parking, air conditioning and something for everyone.
Fridays

At Acrópolis, also on Churchill. A long bar, screens everywhere and a menu made for sharing while the game is on: wings, ribs, big cocktails. A regular for weeknight NBA after work.
Chili's

At Bella Piazza, on Avenida Sarasota. Tex-Mex, fajitas, margaritas and a terrace, with the screens always on. A family atmosphere: you can watch the game here with kids at the table and nobody minds.
Home Run Sport Bar

The name does not lie. A true sports bar on the Manoguayabo road, in Santo Domingo Oeste, with its own parking and a crowd that comes for baseball. Less production, more atmosphere: when your team plays, people shout here.
First Class Sport Bar

The spot in Santo Domingo Este, on the San Isidro highway. A terrace, parking and screens, with one of the best ratings on this list. If you live on that side of the river, it saves you crossing the bridge to watch the game in good company.
So you do not miss the game
- Call or message on Instagram to confirm they will show the game you want, especially if it is not baseball.
- For Licey–Escogido games, any place with a screen fills up: arrive early.
- If you are drinking, leave the car: a ride-hailing app is cheaper than a scare.
