The Restaurants with the Best Views in Punta Cana

· Equipo QueHacerRD

Tables on the sand, a restaurant on stilts over the water and the beach clubs of Bávaro: five Punta Cana spots to eat facing the Caribbean, outside the hotel.

The Restaurants with the Best Views in Punta Cana

In Punta Cana there is only one view, and it is unbeatable: the Caribbean Sea in every shade of turquoise there is. The question is not whether you want to eat looking at it, but where. And the best answer is usually outside the hotel buffet.

We picked five oceanfront restaurants that are among the most reviewed in the area, from Bávaro to the marina at Puntacana Resort. Two tips apply to all of them: book ahead, especially for dinner, and if you are staying at an all-inclusive, arrange the taxi there and back before you leave. Lunch has the better light and the better sea color; dinner, the better temperature.

Jellyfish Restaurant

Jellyfish Restaurant

The most photographed restaurant in Punta Cana. Its two-story wooden structure, open to the sea on the sand at Bávaro, has become a local icon. The menu revolves around fresh seafood and Caribbean cooking, with lobster as the star, and there is live music some days. It is also the most reviewed spot on this list, so book early.

A Bávaro beach club for spending the whole day: a restaurant facing the sea, music and a beach vibe that picks up in the afternoon. Seafood, cocktails and weekend brunch. It works just as well for a meal for two as for a group in a party mood.

Punta Cana's romantic table. The restaurant is built on stilts, literally over the water, at the Puntacana Resort marina. Mediterranean-inspired cooking with an emphasis on seafood, a terrace and live music some nights. For an anniversary or a special dinner it is hard to beat; ask for a table at the edge.
